AMAZING PILLOW SPRAY

AMAZING PILLOW SPRAY

A pillow spray is an essential oil-based product sprayed directly onto bed pillows (or linens) to provide an aroma therapeutic experience. Usually, the mist is added right before bed. Once dry, the scent prepares the body, mind, and mood for optimal relaxation.

Some of the common essential oils found in pillow sprays are Lavender Menthol, and Eucalyptus (for an exhilarating, delightful experience.)

Pillow sprays are infused with aromatherapy ingredients, so a deep inhale will provide you with the aromatic benefits of your preferred scent. This includes restfulness, relaxation, and calmness, which all work together to provide optimal rest. Additionally, pillow sprays are easy to use — a light mist is all you need. Since it is sprayed directly on to your pillow or sheets (right where you’ll be snuggling for hours), the full effects are experienced without much effort.

The cost of pillow sprays vary depending on size, ingredients, and brand. Expect to pay between (or more!) for 8 oz. of product — the ingredients of which may not be evident and the quality questionable. Keep reading to know what to look for.

Yes — if you do a little research. With so many different ones on the market, it is important to find a pillow spray with only safe ingredients. Some claim to be “natural” or “organic” but contain other dilatants or alcohol (keep an eye out for Ethanol, a type of alcohol which is a solvent used to extract botanical oils). This can increase the chance for an allergic reaction and reduce the effectiveness.

Our advice: Always have a look at the label to see what’s in the product. If the label doesn’t clearly indicate what’s in it, be cautious or skip it entirely for another that lists all the ingredients and has third-party testing to ensure quality and purity. Lavender Pillow Spray

Some of the common essential oils found in pillow sprays are Lavender (for its amazing, calming effects), Menthol (for its aide in opening nasal passageways), and Eucalyptus (for an exhilarating, delightful experience.)

A pillow spray, also known as pillow mist is an aromatherapy spray for sleep. It is made with a combination of essential oils shown to support sleep.

Such as lavender used around the globe to ease tension and stress for restful sleep or frankincense to create a relaxing environment for bedtime.

Honestly, you can go wrong with any of these essential oils for sleep. After making a pillow spray to use and keep on my nightstand, I found I could sleep through the night!

They say too much of something isn't good for you, but one thing's for sure around this time of year: You can never really get enough sleep. Holiday parties, cramming for exams, family festivities — with all our commitments, it seems like much of the winter season is basically spent running on an empty tank. Regardless of how you spend the upcoming weeks ahead, hitting the pause button and getting your much-needed shut eye is the best way to refresh and reset your body (on the inside and out). And lately, there's no better way to get the most out of your precious Palmist than these stress-relieving, therapeutic pillow sprays. Not convinced? Check out the slideshow ahead to find the secret to getting the best night's sleep ever (no snooze button necessary).

This Works Deep Sleep Spray could be the thing to help you ease the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on your sleeping habits. Because, if pandemic anxiety is making deep, restful sleep in lockdown a distant memory – you are absolutely not alone. With changing rules, distance from family and friends and the perpetual feeling of 'living at work' it can be difficult for your body to wind up and down accordingly. In fact, a study conducted by King's College London found that during the national lockdown 50% of the population struggled with slumber. Yikes.

Ylang Ylang & Clary Sage Pillow Spray

This fragrant blend is infused with essential oils of lavender, vetiver and wild chamomile to ease your mind and help you fall asleep faster. In a clinical study, 89% of users fell asleep quicker than normal and 92% of users felt more refreshed in the morning — just a few spritzes on your pillow before bedtime is all it takes.

Vegan and cruelty-free, this one's a mix of lavender, vetiver and mandarin oils, for a little citrus-y edge. Double points if you gently spray around your yoga mat pre-Sarvanana. Dreamy.

Invite sleep in by spraying on your pillow and at the top of your duvet, natural movement during the night helps release the essential oils into our bodies to further deepen the sleep. When used nightly as a routine the body naturally starts to welcome rest in. Combine with conscious breathing to help still your mind. Close your eyes, place both hands on your heart. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 7. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of 8. This is one breath, repeat by 5.

Not only do Sanctuary make your favorite hot sugar body scrub (remember nicking some from your mum's bathroom for an extra pampering treat?), they've also made it easier than ever to drift off. A spray promising to help you fall asleep faster and for longer, the essential lavender oil contains hyaluronic acid to avoid water loss and promote healthy, hydrated skin. We love to see it.

One thing we've found helpful to create a cocoon of calm before sleep is using sleep sprays. Specifically, the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – a blend of vender, vetiver and chamomile. Having sold over two million bottles, it was shown in a poll of 200 people (100 of which were ex-prescription users) to help 97% to sleep better, 89% to fall asleep faster and 98% to feel more refreshed in the morning. Your one job? Spritz on your pillow or pajamas for an extra relaxing kip.

Another cruelty-free and vegan one. REN's pillow spray has a spice-y, earthy edge thanks to the addition of frankincense oil, alongside the classic lavender and hops oil.
